Hi Eric, without exaggerating, my time at YumChat with you as my mentor was one of the top 3 defining periods of my life so far. I was such a nervous speaker, I felt sick just introducing myself on the first day of Yumchat, and now I’m pitching my business in front of hundreds. We recently raised $800k in Silicon Valley and I’m pitching again in three weeks to raise (hopefully) another $2-3m. This would have been impossible without Toastmasters. But most importantly, I wouldn’t have had such interest in Toastmasters without one particular speech you made at Yumchat, which inspired me to want to be a great speaker. So much that’s unrelated has come from this too; mostly from having the drive to conquer new things just for the sake of it 🙂
